Helmut Deutsch was born in Vienna in 1945, where he learned piano, composition and musicology at the Vienna Academy from 1967 until 1979. Helmut Deutsch began his career as an accompanist with Irmgard Seefried and collaborated for more than twelve years with Hermann Prey. Helmut Deutsch has performed with the greatest singers including Olaf Bär, Diana Damrau, Annette Dasch, Matthias Goerne, Hans Hotter, his former student Jonas Kaufmann, Anne Sofie von Otter, Andreas Schmidt, Bo Skovhus, Michael Volle and many more .
