Parme
Since the mid-1980s, Parma celebrates its most famous son with the annual Verdi Festival in the birth month of October. Parma, the beautiful medieval city in Emilia Romagna and culinary heart of Italy, is virtually predestined for all lovers of the fine arts and usually presents itself with no less than three beautiful venues to its visitors. The Teatro Regio, one of the oldest and most prestigious opera houses in Italy, stands as an important building for Parma’s impressive history and its cultural heritage. Experience there "Un ballo in maschera", a concert "Simon Boccanegra" and impressive concert evenings.

Due to a pandemic, this year’s performances will not take place in the other venues, the Gothic Chiesa di San Francesco del Prato in Parma’s center and the tiny Teatro Giuseppe Verdi di Busseto, a mere 300-seat gem in the great master’s hometown and about a 45-minute drive from Parma.

Nevertheless, enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of the Festival Verdi in Parma, when the curtain rises for all fans of the great Italian opera - the festival management has put together a great program!
